Cooking With Specialty Oils

A Little Goes a Long Way

These are finishing flavors. Add white truffle oil to pasta, popcorn, eggs or mashed potatoes just before serving.

Toasted Sesame Oil brings nutty depth to stir-fries, noodles and marinades. Roasted Walnut Oil is lovely in salad dressings and drizzled over roasted squash.

Meet Champagne Vinegar

Champagne White Wine Vinegar is lighter and crisper than balsamic. Use it in vinaigrettes, quick pickles and pan sauces.

Try Toasted Sesame Oil with Honey Ginger White Balsamic in a stir-fry, or Roasted Walnut Oil with Vermont Maple Dark Balsamic over greens with apple.

Specialty FAQs

Are these all olive oils?

No. Roasted Walnut Oil and Toasted Sesame Oil are nut and seed oils, so check the label if you're cooking for someone with allergies.

Can I cook with them?

They taste best added at the end. Use them in dressings, stir-fries and as a finishing drizzle.

How is Champagne vinegar different from balsamic?

It's a wine vinegar: lighter, crisper and less sweet than balsamic, so it's perfect for vinaigrettes and quick pickles.
