Sticky, savory, sweet, and beautifully caramelized, these Honey Ginger Balsamic Glazed Chicken Thighs are exactly the kind of dinner that looks impressive without making you work too hard for it.

Juicy chicken thighs are roasted until golden, then coated in a rich glaze made with our Honey Ginger Balsamic, a touch of honey, garlic, and warm spices. The result is tender chicken with crisp edges and a glossy, flavorful finish that is seriously hard to resist.

This is one of those recipes that checks all the boxes: easy enough for a weeknight, delicious enough for company, and packed with sweet-and-savory flavor in every bite.

Why Honey Ginger Balsamic Is Perfect for Chicken

Our Honey Ginger Balsamic brings together bright ginger, gentle sweetness, and that signature balsamic tang, making it an easy way to build big flavor with very few ingredients.

As the chicken roasts, the balsamic reduces and caramelizes, creating a sticky glaze that clings beautifully to the skin. A little honey rounds out the acidity, while garlic and smoked paprika add savory depth.

The result is balanced, bold, and just sweet enough.

The Secret to Crispy, Glazed Chicken Thighs

The trick is all in the timing.

Start by roasting the chicken with a simple seasoning so the skin has a chance to crisp. Then brush on the Honey Ginger Balsamic glaze during the final portion of cooking. This gives the glaze enough time to become glossy and caramelized without burning.

For an even stickier finish, brush on one final layer just before serving.

Why Chicken Thighs Work So Well

Chicken thighs are naturally juicy and flavorful, which makes them ideal for roasting. They are also much more forgiving than chicken breasts, so they stay tender even as the glaze develops those beautiful caramelized edges.

Bone-in, skin-on thighs give you the crispiest and most flavorful result, but boneless thighs can work too if you adjust the cooking time.

An Easy Dinner with Big Flavor

This recipe is especially great on nights when you want something comforting without a long ingredient list.

Most of the cooking happens in the oven, leaving you free to make a simple side dish, toss together a salad, or just enjoy the fact that dinner is basically taking care of itself.

What to Serve with Honey Ginger Balsamic Chicken

The sweet and tangy glaze pairs beautifully with all kinds of sides. Try serving these chicken thighs with:

  • Roasted sweet potatoes
  • Garlic mashed potatoes
  • Steamed or roasted green beans
  • Jasmine or basmati rice
  • Roasted carrots
  • A simple arugula salad
  • Grilled or roasted corn

And definitely spoon any extra pan juices over the top. That is where so much of the flavor lives!

Make It Your Own

This Honey Ginger Balsamic chicken is easy to customize depending on what you have on hand.

Add crushed red pepper flakes for a little heat, stir Dijon mustard into the glaze for extra tang, or add fresh grated ginger if you want to really emphasize the ginger flavor.

You can also finish the cooked chicken with a tiny extra drizzle of Honey Ginger Balsamic for a fresh pop of sweetness and acidity just before serving.

Your New Sweet-and-Savory Chicken Dinner

These Honey Ginger Balsamic Glazed Chicken Thighs are proof that a simple dinner can still bring serious flavor.

Juicy chicken, crispy skin, sticky caramelized edges, and a sweet-tangy balsamic glaze all come together in one easy recipe that feels cozy, flavorful, and just a little bit special.

Whether you're making a weeknight dinner or serving friends, this is one recipe we think you'll come back to again and again.

Honey Ginger Balsamic Glazed Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/3 cup Honey Ginger Balsamic

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional

  • Fresh thyme or sliced green onions, for garnish

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top, if desired.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs very dry with paper towels. This helps the skin become beautifully crisp.

  3. Rub the chicken with olive oil, then season evenly with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.

  4. Arrange the chicken thighs skin-side up on the prepared baking sheet.

  5. Roast for 25 minutes.

  6. While the chicken cooks, make the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine Honey Ginger Balsamic, honey, Dijon mustard, garlic, soy sauce, and crushed red pepper flakes, if using.

  7. Bring the glaze to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat and cook for 4–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

  8. Remove the chicken from the oven and generously brush each thigh with the Honey Ginger Balsamic glaze.

  9. Return to the oven and roast for another 10 minutes.

  10. Brush the chicken with another layer of glaze and cook for an additional 5–10 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of at least 165°F and the glaze is caramelized and glossy.

  11. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  12. Spoon any extra glaze over the chicken and garnish with fresh thyme or sliced green onions.
