Vegan Olive Oil Butter


  • 1/2 cup Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (solid at room temperature)
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (optional)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs, chopped (e.g., parsley, thyme, rosemary) (optional)


  • Gently melt the coconut oil in a saucepan over low heat until it becomes liquid. Allow it to cool slightly but not solidify.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the extra virgin olive oil with the melted coconut oil. Whisk together until well combined.
  • Stir in the nutritional yeast, ensuring it is evenly distributed throughout the mixture. This will act as a binder and add a slight buttery flavor.
  • If desired, stir in the sea salt, minced garlic, and chopped fresh herbs for added flavor.
  • Pour the mixture into a small airtight container. Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours until it solidifies and firms up.
  • Use your vegan olive oil butter as a spread on bread, a topping for vegetables, or in any recipe that calls for a buttery flavor.
