Ingredients:
- 1 lb. pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 tablespoon Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Cornmeal (for dusting)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4-5 fresh figs, sliced
- 4 slices prosciutto, torn into pieces
- 1 cup fresh arugula
- ¼ cup shaved Parmesan cheese
For the Fig Balsamic Drizzle:
- 2 tablespoons Mission Fig Dark Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Preheat your oven to 475ºF (245ºC). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats up.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the dough to a piece of parchment paper dusted with cornmeal to prevent sticking.
- Brush the pizza dough with 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.
- Evenly spread the shredded mozzarella cheese over the dough.
- Arrange the fig slices and prosciutto pieces on top of the cheese.
- Transfer the parchment paper with the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately top with fresh arugula and shaved Parmesan cheese.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the fig balsamic vinegar and 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.
- Drizzle the fig balsamic mixture over the pizza.
- Slice the pizza and serve warm.
