Butter Kissed Apple Tart
Share
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed) or tart dough
- 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp Butter Premium Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp sugar (white or brown)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Franklin Raw Honey or Vermont Maple Dark Balsamic Vinegar (optional, for drizzling)
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1 tbsp flour (for rolling dough)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375ºF (190ºC).
- Roll out the puff pastry or tart dough on a lightly floured surface to fit your tart pan. Press the dough into the pan, trimming off any excess.
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, 2 tbsp Butter Olive Oil, sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until evenly coated.
- Arrange the apple slices in a spiral or overlapping pattern on the tart crust. Start from the outer edge and work your way to the center for a beautiful design.
- Drizzle the remaining 1 tbsp Butter Olive Oil over the apples for a rich, buttery finish.
- Place the tart in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- If desired, lightly drizzle honey or maple syrup over the tart once it’s out of the oven. Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
