Maple Walnut Baked Brie with Vermont Maple Balsamic

Maple Walnut Baked Brie with Vermont Maple Balsamic

If fall could be served warm and gooey on a cracker, this would probably be it. 🍁 This Maple Walnut Baked Brie combines creamy melted Brie with dried cranberries, toasted walnuts, fresh thyme, Roasted Walnut Oil, and our rich Vermont Maple Dark Balsamic for an appetizer that feels extra special without requiring extra work.

It’s sweet, savory, nutty, and just a little tangy — basically everything we want on a fall appetizer board. Better yet, it comes together in under 20 minutes, making it perfect for Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, holiday parties, or those nights when you simply decide warm Brie sounds like dinner. We would not judge. 😉

The Appetizer Everyone Gathers Around

There’s something about pulling a bubbling wheel of baked Brie from the oven that immediately gets everyone’s attention.

The cheese becomes wonderfully soft and creamy while the cranberry-walnut topping adds sweetness, texture, and plenty of cozy fall flavor. Serve it right in the baking dish surrounded by crackers, toasted baguette slices, and crisp apple wedges and let everyone dig in.

What Makes This Maple Walnut Baked Brie So Delicious?

  • Brie: Warm, creamy, and perfectly melty — the ideal base for all those fall flavors.
  • Roasted Walnut Oil: Adds rich, toasted nuttiness and brings even more depth to the walnuts.
  • Vermont Maple Dark Balsamic: Adds maple sweetness with the rich complexity of aged balsamic.
  • Dried cranberries: Bring a little tartness and chewy texture to every bite.
  • Walnuts: Add that irresistible crunch against the creamy Brie.
  • Fresh thyme: Gives the whole dish a savory, herbaceous finish.

Roasted Walnut Oil + Vermont Maple Balsamic = Fall Magic

This is one of those recipes where these two flavors were simply meant to be together. 🍁

Our Roasted Walnut Oil brings out the natural richness of the walnuts, while Vermont Maple Dark Balsamic adds a beautiful sweet-and-tangy maple finish. Against warm, creamy Brie, the combination is pretty hard to resist.

The cranberries add a bright little pop that keeps everything balanced, while fresh thyme adds just enough savory flavor to keep the appetizer from becoming too sweet.

An Easy Appetizer That Looks Impressive

This is exactly the kind of entertaining recipe we love — minimal effort, maximum “ooooh, what is that?” when it hits the table.

The cranberry and walnut topping takes just a couple of minutes to warm in a skillet with Roasted Walnut Oil and Vermont Maple Balsamic. Spoon it over the Brie, pop everything into the oven, and about 15 minutes later you have a gorgeous appetizer ready for sharing.

No complicated prep. No pile of dishes. Just warm, melty cheese. That’s a holiday win in our book.

Make It Your Own

There are plenty of delicious ways to put your own spin on this baked Brie:

  • Swap the walnuts for chopped pecans.
  • Add fresh pear or apple slices to the topping.
  • Sprinkle pomegranate arils over the Brie before serving.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon for an extra-cozy fall touch.
  • Finish with a little extra Vermont Maple Dark Balsamic just before serving.
  • Add a few fresh rosemary leaves along with the thyme for a more savory flavor.

What to Serve with Maple Walnut Baked Brie

We love serving this straight from the baking dish with plenty of options for dipping and scooping.

Toasted baguette slices, buttery crackers, apple wedges, and pear slices are all delicious. For a holiday grazing board, surround it with grapes, dried fruit, nuts, charcuterie, and a few extra cheeses.

Just be warned: you may want to put this one in the middle of the table because everyone is going to be reaching for it. 😉

Can You Prepare Baked Brie Ahead of Time?

You can definitely get a head start. Prepare the cranberry-walnut topping earlier in the day and keep it covered until you’re ready to bake.

When guests arrive, place the Brie in your baking dish, add the topping, and pop it into the oven. In about 12–15 minutes, you’ll have a warm appetizer ready to serve.

Perfect for Thanksgiving, Holiday Parties & Cozy Nights In

This Maple Walnut Baked Brie feels right at home from the first cool nights of fall straight through the holiday season.

Serve it for Thanksgiving appetizers, Friendsgiving, Christmas parties, cocktail hour, game night, or alongside a glass of wine for an easy date-night snack.

It looks beautiful, tastes gourmet, and requires very little work — exactly the kind of entertaining recipe we like to keep around.
