Buttery Herb Crackers

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup Butter Olive Oil
  • ½ cup water
  • Sea salt for sprinkling (optional)
  • Freshly ground black pepper or red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, oregano, basil, and garlic powder until well combined.
  • Gradually add the Butter Olive Oil and water to the dry mixture. Stir until a dough forms. It should be smooth and not sticky. If it’s too dry, add a little more water, 1 tablespoon at a time.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Roll it out to about ⅛ inch thick. You can make it thinner if you prefer crispier crackers.
  • Use a pizza cutter or knife to cut the dough into squares, rectangles, or desired shapes. Place the cut crackers onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Lightly brush the top of each cracker with a little extra Butter Olive Oil. Sprinkle with sea salt, black pepper, or red pepper flakes, depending on your preference.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crackers are golden brown and crisp.
  • Let the crackers cool on a wire rack. Store in an airtight container if not serving immediately.

Enjoy!
