Pineapple Glazed Pork Ribs
Share
There are some recipes that feel like summer the minute you read them, and these Pineapple Glazed Pork Ribs are definitely one of them.
They’re sticky, savory, just a little sweet, and full of bold flavor. The kind of ribs that make you reach for extra napkins and go back for one more piece, even when you told yourself you were done.
What makes this recipe so special is the glaze. It starts with pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, fresh garlic, and ginger, then gets finished with Pineapple Balsamic Vinegar for a bright, tangy layer of flavor that ties everything together beautifully.
The balsamic gives the glaze a little extra depth and a tropical sweetness that works so well with pork. It balances the richness of the ribs and helps create that glossy, caramelized finish everyone loves.
Before the glaze ever goes on, the ribs are rubbed with a simple blend of garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. A little Garlic Premium Olive Oil helps the seasoning cling to the meat and adds even more flavor right from the start.
Then the ribs bake low and slow until tender. That part is easy — the oven does most of the work for you. Once they’re soft and nearly falling off the bone, they get brushed with the pineapple glaze and baked again until sticky and beautifully caramelized.
The result is a rack of ribs with layers of sweet, smoky, tangy flavor in every bite.
I love serving these with grilled pineapple, simple rice, slaw, or roasted vegetables. They’re perfect for summer dinners, casual entertaining, or any meal where you want something a little fun and full of flavor.
If you’ve been looking for a pork rib recipe with a tropical twist, this one is absolutely worth making.

-
2 tablespoons onion powder
-
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1 teaspoon black pepper
-
1 tablespoon Garlic Premium Olive Oil
For the Pineapple Glaze
-
1 cup pineapple juice
-
1/2 cup soy sauce
-
1/4 cup brown sugar
-
1/4 cup Franklin Raw Honey
-
2 tablespoons Pineapple Balsamic Vinegar
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tablespoon ginger, minced
-
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
Garnish
-
Fresh pineapple wedges
-
Fresh rosemary sprigs
Directions
Preheat your oven to 300°F.
In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Rub the ribs all over with Garlic Premium Olive Oil.
Coat the ribs on both sides with the spice mixture.
Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
Cover with another sheet of foil, sealing the edges tightly to create a packet.
Bake for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender and the meat begins to pull away from the bones.
Make the Pineapple Glaze
While the ribs are baking, combine the pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, Pineapple Balsamic Vinegar, minced garlic, and minced ginger in a medium saucepan.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes, until slightly reduced.
Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook for another 5 minutes, until the glaze has thickened.
Remove from heat and set aside.
Finish the Ribs
Once the ribs are tender, remove them from the oven and discard the top layer of foil.
Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).
Brush the ribs generously with the pineapple glaze on both sides.
Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for 15–20 minutes, basting with more glaze halfway through.
Bake until the glaze is sticky and caramelized.
Transfer the ribs to a serving platter.
Garnish with fresh pineapple wedges and rosemary sprigs.
Serve with any remaining glaze on the side.

Tracey’s Notes
- Pineapple Balsamic Vinegar gives the glaze a bright, tropical flavor that pairs beautifully with pork.
- Baking the ribs covered first keeps them tender, then the final uncovered bake creates that delicious sticky finish.
- These ribs are messy in the best possible way, so keep extra napkins nearby.
- The extra glaze is wonderful spooned over rice or served as a dipping sauce on the side.
