What's a shrub and why do your drinks need them?
A shrub is an old-timey, sweet beverage syrup made from 3 simple ingredients: Fruit, vinegar, and sugar. Typically, shrubs use regular vinegar and sugar, but for our recipe, we’re using our sweet, Lemongrass Mint White Balsamic - no sugar necessary!
Vinegar-based syrups, or drinking vinegars, have been around for centuries, partly for reasons of food safety and partly for the their delicious flavors!
Just a few everyday ingredients and a little time are all you need to create our easy Strawberry Lemongrass Shrub!
Sweet, refreshing and tangy, it’s great for cocktails and mocktails.
Just add a splash of seltzer and your favorite garnish (alcohol optional) and you’ve got yourself a sweet, distinctive, beverage to welcome in the spring’s warmer weather.
