A smoky twist on classic Caprese salad made with Olive Wood Smoked Premium Olive Oil, Mission Fig Dark Balsamic Vinegar, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil. Easy, fresh, and perfect for summer entertaining.
Ingredients

2 cups cherry tomatoes

3 tablespoons fresh basil, finely chopped (plus more for garnish if desired)

1 ½ cups fresh mozzarella balls

1/3 cup Olive Wood Smoked Premium Olive Oil

2 tablespoons Mission Fig Dark Balsamic Vinegar

1 tablespoon This Little Shop Herb Blend

½ teaspoon Himalayan Sea Salt

¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions
Wash the tomatoes and basil.
Finely chop the basil and set aside.
Slice the cherry tomatoes in half.
Cut each mozzarella ball in half.
In a large bowl, combine the tomatoes and mozzarella.
In a small bowl, whisk together the chopped basil, Olive Wood Smoked Olive Oil, and Mission Fig Dark Balsamic Vinegar.
Drizzle the dressing over the tomatoes and mozzarella. Gently toss to coat.
Sprinkle in the Herb Blend, Himalayan Sea Salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Before serving, garnish with additional fresh basil if desired.
