Fresh Burrata Salad

Ingredients:

  • 2 fresh burrata balls
  • 2 cups cherry or heirloom tomatoes, halved
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Champagne White Wine Vinegar (Optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Crusty bread or crostini (optional, for serving)

Instructions:

  • Arrange the halved cherry or heirloom tomatoes on a large serving plate or shallow bowl.
  • Gently place the burrata balls in the center of the plate, surrounded by tomatoes.
  • Generously drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the burrata and tomatoes. If using balsamic vinegar, drizzle that as well for added flavor.
  • Sprinkle the salad with lemon zest, a pinch of salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  • Serve immediately with crusty bread or crostini for a delightful appetizer or light meal.
