Smokey Hummus

There’s something about a really good hummus that just makes everything better. Fresh vegetables? Better. Warm pita? Better. A spoon straight out of the bowl? Also better.
This Smokey Hummus is one of those recipes that proves you don’t need a long ingredient list to create something memorable. The magic is in the Olive Wood Smoked Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It adds a deep, subtle smokiness that makes people pause and say, “Wait… what is that?” in the best possible way.
Whether you use chickpeas or white beans, the result is creamy, savory, and perfectly balanced with tahini and just a hint of garlic. A sprinkle of chili flakes adds a gentle warmth, and fresh herbs brighten everything up.
This is the kind of recipe I love keeping in the refrigerator for last-minute guests—or for myself when I want something satisfying but simple. It’s proof that good olive oil can completely transform a dish.

Recipe Note
Tracey’s Notes
- For extra flavor, drizzle a little more Olive Wood Smoked EVOO over the top before serving.
- This spreads beautifully on sandwiches or wraps.
- If you prefer it extra smooth, peel the chickpeas before blending.
