Simple Baked Brie with Honey

  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry, thawed
  • 1 round (8 oz) Brie Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Franklin Raw Honey
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Pecans or Walnuts (optional)
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp Water (for egg wash)
  • Fresh Fruit, for serving (such as grapes, apple slices, or berries)
  • Rosemary sprig garnish
  • Drizzle of Mission Fig Balsamic
  • Crackers or Sliced Baguette, for serving

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F.
    • Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a square that’s large enough to encase the brie.
    • Place the brie in the center of the puff pastry.
    • Drizzle the honey over the brie and sprinkle the chopped nuts on top if using.
    • Fold the puff pastry over the brie, pressing the edges to seal.
    • Whisk together the egg and water to make an egg wash and brush it over the puff pastry to give it a golden color when baked.
    • Transfer the wrapped brie to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown and crisp.
    • Allow the baked brie to rest for about 5 minutes before transferring it to a serving platter.
    • Serve with fresh fruit, crackers, or sliced baguette.
    • Garnish with rosemary sprig and drizzle with fig balsamic.
