Simple Baked Brie with Honey
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet Puff Pastry, thawed
- 1 round (8 oz) Brie Cheese
- 1/4 cup Franklin Raw Honey
- 1/4 cup Chopped Pecans or Walnuts (optional)
- 1 Egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp Water (for egg wash)
- Fresh Fruit, for serving (such as grapes, apple slices, or berries)
- Rosemary sprig garnish
- Drizzle of Mission Fig Balsamic
- Crackers or Sliced Baguette, for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a square that’s large enough to encase the brie.
- Place the brie in the center of the puff pastry.
- Drizzle the honey over the brie and sprinkle the chopped nuts on top if using.
- Fold the puff pastry over the brie, pressing the edges to seal.
- Whisk together the egg and water to make an egg wash and brush it over the puff pastry to give it a golden color when baked.
- Transfer the wrapped brie to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown and crisp.
- Allow the baked brie to rest for about 5 minutes before transferring it to a serving platter.
- Serve with fresh fruit, crackers, or sliced baguette.
- Garnish with rosemary sprig and drizzle with fig balsamic.
