Milanese Gremolata Pan-Fried Potatoes
Share
There’s something about crispy potatoes in a skillet that just feels right.
Add bacon and onion, and you’ve already won. But when you finish it with Milanese Gremolata Premium Olive Oil, that’s when this simple dish turns into something special. The lemon, parsley, garlic, and hint of mint in the olive oil cut through the richness of the bacon and bring everything into balance.
What I love most about this recipe is that it’s rustic and unfussy. It works for breakfast alongside eggs, as a side for grilled chicken, or even as a hearty addition to a casual dinner with friends. It’s one of those dishes that disappears quickly from the pan — and everyone always asks what you added to make it taste so bright.
Good ingredients. A hot skillet. And olive oil that does the heavy lifting.

Crispy pan-fried fingerling potatoes tossed with bacon, onion, and Milanese Gremolata Premium Olive Oil for a bright, savory side dish.
Ingredients
-
½ lb bacon
-
1 medium onion, chopped
-
1 lb fingerling potatoes, sliced into rounds

¼ cup Milanese Gremolata Premium Olive Oil
-
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Directions
Wash and slice the fingerling potatoes into even rounds and set aside.
Dice the bacon and chop the onion.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until it begins to crisp. Add the onion and cook until softened.
Drain excess grease from the pan, leaving about 1 tablespoon.

Cook, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender inside and crispy on the outside, about 20–25 minutes.
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.
Recipe Note
Tracey’s Notes
- Make sure the potatoes are in a single layer as much as possible for better browning.
- For extra crispness, let them sit undisturbed for a few minutes before flipping.
- This pairs beautifully with grilled meats or as a hearty brunch side.
