Spicy Cajun Shrimp-The Little Shop of Olive Oils

Spicy Cajun Shrimp

  • 1-pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Jalapeno Premium Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

  • In a large bowl, combine the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper.
  • Add the shrimp to the seasoning mix and toss until they are well coated.
  • Heat the EVOO in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the shrimp in a single layer. Cook for about 2 minutes on one side until they start to turn pink.
  • Flip the shrimp and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the other side until they are fully cooked and have a nice sear.
  • Remove the shrimp from the skillet and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  • Serve the Cajun shrimp immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the shrimp.
