Chicken Souvlaki
Share
There’s something about Greek flavors that always feels bright and welcoming.
This Chicken Souvlaki is one of those recipes that looks impressive but is beautifully simple at its core. The marinade is where all the magic happens — creamy yogurt, fresh lemon, Garlic Premium Olive Oil, and a splash of Oregano White Balsamic Vinegar. It tenderizes the chicken and layers in that classic Mediterranean flavor we all love.
I especially love how versatile this dish is. Serve it on skewers with warm pita and tzatziki, tuck it into a salad, or plate it alongside rice and grilled vegetables. It’s fresh, flavorful, and just a little bit transportive — like dinner on a patio somewhere sunny.
Good olive oil makes a difference here. It carries the garlic flavor through every bite and keeps the chicken tender and juicy.
Simple ingredients. Big flavor. Always a favorite.

Tender chicken marinated in yogurt, Garlic Premium Olive Oil, lemon, and Oregano White Balsamic Vinegar, then grilled or broiled for a classic Mediterranean-inspired dish.
Ingredients
-
1½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
-
1 cup whole milk plain yogurt
-
⅓ cup Garlic Premium Olive Oil
-
Juice from ½ lemon
-
1 tablespoon Oregano White Balsamic Vinegar
-
2 teaspoons kosher salt
-
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Directions
In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, Garlic Premium Olive Oil, lemon juice, Oregano White Balsamic Vinegar, salt, and pepper.
Add the chicken pieces and coat thoroughly. Transfer to a zip-top bag or covered bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or up to 24 hours.
To grill: Prepare grill for indirect cooking. Thread chicken onto skewers if desired. Grill over indirect heat, turning every 2 minutes, for about 8 minutes total or until cooked through. Remove and let rest briefly.
To broil: Preheat oven to 400°F. Skewer chicken or place in a single layer on a greased broiler pan. Cook on the top rack at 450°F for 6 minutes, then broil for an additional 4 minutes, turning to brown all sides.
Serve immediately.
Recipe Note
Tracey’s Notes
- The longer the marinade, the deeper the flavor.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving to keep it juicy.
- Serve with warm pita, tzatziki, or a simple cucumber salad.
