Share
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle (750ml) of red wine (Merlot or Cabernet works well)
- ¼ cup Pomegranate Dark Balsamic Vinegar
- ¼ cup orange liqueur (like Grand Marnier or Triple Sec)
- ¼ cup brandy (optional, for extra warmth)
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- ½ cup fresh cranberries
- ½ cup pomegranate arils
- 2-3 sprigs of fresh rosemary
- 2 cups sparkling water or club soda ( optional for a fizzy finish)
- Ice for serving
- Franklin Raw Honey (optional for extra sweetness)
- Star anise for garnish
Instructions:
- In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, Pomegranate Balsamic, orange liqueur, and brandy. Stir well to blend the flavors.
- Add the orange slices, apple slices, cranberries, and pomegranate arils to the pitcher. Gently muddle the fruit with a wooden spoon to release their juices.
- Add the Rosemary sprigs to the pitcher and stir. Allow the sangria to sit in the fridge for at least 2 hours (or up to overnight) to let the flavors meld.
- When ready to serve, add ice to the glasses and fill halfway with the sangria. Top off with sparkling water or club soda for a festive fizz.
- Garnish with a sprig of rosemary, star anise, and a few cranberries for a beautiful presentation.
